Over the course of the 2007 National Football League (NFL) season, Randy Moss set the all time record for touchdowns caught by a receiver. Playing for the New England Patriots, Moss greatly improved on his 2006 total of just three touchdowns. Receiving for New England’s Tom Brady, Moss caught 23 touchdown passes and 98 passes overall. His mark of 1,493 receiving yards was the second highest of his career. Moss’s 23 touchdowns are a single season record for a receiver and sixth overall for an individual player over one year.

Brady, meanwhile, connected on 50 touchdown passes overall in 2007, an NFL record until 2013 and still the second highest total for a single season. New England finished the regular season with a perfect record of 16-0 but fell in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.
